TAXPAYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER FOR SWISS RESIDENTS
As a Financial Cooperative Association of International Civil Servants, AMFIE wishes to inform all international civil servants resident in Switzerland that the automatic exchange of fiscal information as provided for by Directive 2014/107/EU of 9th December 2014 is fully applicable to them(*).
As a result, international civil servants will be required to provide their Swiss taxpayer identification number during any business relations with a financial institution based in any of the countries taking part in the Automatic Exchange of Information.
The TIN acts as the Swiss taxpayer identification number and is assigned to all international civil servants resident in the country.
